I wonder if the poetry world needs to take a look at itself regarding money - ten pounds to enter one poem in a competition, event organisers asking people to perform their work for nothing. Is there a general air of monied comfort?

@JennyMitchellGo I think so Jenny. I do understand that presses, events and competitions have running costs. But even so, I have been excluded from so many of these chances out of necessity, which leads to more chances missed and so on. I've kind of accepted it, but I'm not sure it is fair.
