I am creating an LLM from scratch in C++ without any external libraries. Now I have finally realized why we need a GPU to train an LLM. First I thought about optimizing the matrix multiplication using Strassen’s Algorithm, but it won’t show much improvement compared to parallel computation. But first, I will run a basic version of this LLM on my Laptop.

Hello everyone, recently i’ve connected with a lot of new people, so let me introduce myself.i’m srajan, a 3rd year undergrad from a tier 3 college. my web dev journey started with a small attendance calculator a simple web app that tells you how many classes you can bunk. in my first year, it got 1000+ views and 100+ active users, and seeing someone actually use what i built gave me real joy since then, i’ve kept learning and whenever an idea hits me, i drop everything and build it. that’s how most of my projects were born. i’m a product builder at heart. currently learning frontend design from emil’s course and doing dsa from striver’s sheet open to any opportunity i can build your v1 in a week i post daily about my learning journey and sometimes just random thoughts or shitposts. peace ✌️
