7 LONG YEARS since a Suriya na film carried a 12A rating in the UK. 7 years of kids missing those magical @Suriya_offl moments on the big screen 🧨
#Karuppu was initially rated 15 by the @BBFC. While the film was cleared for all ages in India, UK censor criteria work differently, and films suitable for family audiences back home can still receive stricter ratings here.
@RJ_Balaji made this film for everyone to enjoy together. Working closely with RJB and gang, we made a few careful cuts while keeping the story completely intact — and #Karuppu is now officially rated 12A in the UK.
ALL AGES CAN EXPERIENCE THE CELEBRATION TOGETHER! ♥️

#Karuppu is a another disappointment from Suriya. After watching the first half, I thought it was the perfect comeback film. But the second half was the complete opposite, and I couldn’t even finish the movie. I don’t understand how everyone, including Mallus, is giving it positive reviews. Sai Abhyankkar’s music is the only saving factor in the film. NB: I’m just sharing my honest opinion. You can come and say whatever bad words you want, I don’t care!!
