El director quería a Lucifer sin camisa, lleno de tatuajes y cadenas. Stormare no estuvo de acuerdo y su argumento fue claro: "Si me ponen todo eso encima, nadie va a escuchar lo que tengo que decir." Lo que propuso fue un traje de lino blanco, los pies descalzos cubiertos de alquitrán negro y las cejas afeitadas. El blanco no era casualidad, era un guiño a lo que Lucifer fue antes de caer, un ángel de luz. El alquitrán en los pies representaba la corrupción que no puede ocultar sin importar cuánto lo intente. Y las cejas afeitadas le daban algo perturbador que ningún tatuaje hubiera logrado. Le costó convencer a todos pero al final lo consiguió. Hoy ese Lucifer de traje blanco sigue siendo uno de los más recordados en la historia del cine.
