One time someone in my chat was like "the top 1% of streamers are loaded"... i was like, let me hold your hand when i tell you this... i'm in the top 0.3% and uh.... im definitely not 😅 this is how i realized most people have little concept of what streamers actually make

As a little guy I dont really get a lot of sponsorships that are actually worth it to me tbh! (I value my community's time higher than shilling something idgaf about for $20) I think I got around $200 from a Minecraft sponsor a bit back! Gsupps is a bit as well, idk if i can say an exact number tho. Most of my income is from Twitch. That being said, ive been in the process of changing that lately by investing more in YT! Trying to dip my toes into long form content soon, my short form content has given me significant growth even across platforms but it doesn't pay anything lol.

@Rai_Byte Could I get some clarification (while being as vague as you want to be). How does the money from streams compare to the money from sponsorships?

i think calling those viewers financially irresponsible is sorta cringe, you don't know everyone's situation 😅 people can spend money on things they like and it doesn't mean its irresponsible... if u genuinely receive joy out of gifting/long term subs/merch etc you are still getting something out if it at the end of the day, it isn't necessarily always irrational, pointless spending.

@Rai_Byte A lot of people don’t realize that a streamers revenue isn’t dependent on their viewer or subscriber count, yes those can effect it. But it’s mainly dependent on how many of their viewers are financially irresponsible and to what degree
