I called Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton and congratulated her on winning this primary. I trust that she will continue the lasting legacy that Senator Durbin leaves behind. Only in America can an immigrant with twenty-nine letters in his name go from public housing and food stamps to the halls of Congress. I will continue to fight for our country, the greatest on Earth, to make the United States of America the kind of country we all still believe in.

First stop of the day: Thanking poll workers in Schaumburg! Our democracy relies on everyday folks stepping up to do their part, and I couldn’t be more grateful for all the poll workers and election officials across the state.

Less than 24 hours until polls close, and the energy on the ground is electric! I felt so honored to close out the day with my family, friends, and neighbors in Schaumburg. Now, on to Election Day!

Teamsters political field organizers are on the ground encouraging members to vote for Raja Krishnamoorthi for Senate in Illinois. Krishnamoorthi has walked Teamsters picket lines, backed UPS Teamsters in their 2024 contract fight, and supported legislation to speed up new organizing. Raja is a proven leader who will continue to fight for Teamsters across Illinois in the U.S. Senate.
