Their sole reliance seems to be on: -Tax collection from the salaried class -Electricity bills -Withholding taxes (which are increasingly becoming a minimum tax model) -Indirect taxes -Court cases and when Govt faces shortfall owing to FBR performance than: -PDL to cover all shortfalls (easy money ka nasha hi alag hy)

I am largely against high Income Tax and CGT, As they hit young, hungry people disproportionately. One I am for is wealth Tax. Let's make it 2 - 3 %, or better yet 2.5% meeting in the middle? And let's decide on some threshold to exclude the poor. 35 - 40 lac sounds good? Convert it to gold to future-proof the law. 85 grams sounds perfect. Lo and behold, I came up with this absolutly perfect wealth tax legislation all on my own.

@DThucydides Liability more than an asset. 5 Marla houses don't appreciate in value that much. Much better to buy 1 kanal files and sell once the plot is allocated and sufficient development is around. DHA Multan Main Avenue sold 5 lakh per marla last month.
