As Black people, remember this: racist white people take time out of their day to think about us, not the other way around. We possess gifts and talents that they are envious of. If you can't have it, you try to discredit it in the eyes of those that do. We'll never stop shining.

One of the primary functions of police is to violently crush progressive social movements. It's one of the reasons expanding the size and power of police is always authoritarian and is never an answer to inequality. *It is a key part of preserving inequality, in all its forms.*

FIVE MONTHS AGO the ‘Blood Tribe,’ a white supremacist, neo nazi group demonstrated on the University of Wisconsin campus, brandishing rifles, carrying swastika flags, and chanting “Israel is not our friend” and “there will be blood, blood, blood.” The protesters were all white males. Police did NOTHING. YESTERDAY unarmed, peaceful, students demonstrated at Emory University against genocide in Palestine. The protesters were mostly Black and other non-white students. Police tear-gassed, tased, brutalized, used rubber bullets, and arrested them.

1 year ago today, singer, songwriter, actor and social activist, Harry Belafonte, died. He was dubbed the "King of Calypso" for popularizing the Caribbean musical style internationally in the 50s. Throughout his career, he was an advocate for civil rights and humanitarian causes.

Happy Birthday to the late Coretta Scott King. She was an author, activist, civil rights leader and the wife of Martin Luther King Jr. She wasn’t just the wife of an American hero, she was an icon in her own right.

@tupac4everr The tragedy is that his death left a vacuum filled by a biracial rapper cosplaying the Black Experience and folks raised on Twitch not knowing the substance of this man's full work.

youtu.be/ExGVJiZe8-s?si… "Everybody's a thug now"-Bizzy Bone in 2000. Can't imitate Tupac's activism, intelligence, poetry, love for Black people. But tie a banana around someone's head and software, they'll swear that person and Tupac were soulmates. Y'all really make me sick!

Hell yeah! Need some new energy to get excited about. If these last 3 weeks has proven, contrived battles and producers wave hopping has made competition stale and gimmicky. Originality and uniqueness will always be a part of Eminem's music.
Rock The Bells@RockTheBells

.@Eminem just dropped a trailer for his new album COUP DE GRÂCE and in it he reveals the death of Slim Shady. Remember, last month Dr. Dre announced that he would be working on Em’s album. Are y’all excited for the new Eminem album?

When have you ever manned up? You been called out by men to fight and cower but will bark and pick fights with women. A goofy weirdo calling anything weird is beyond pathetic.
DJ Akademiks@Akademiks

youtu.be/XinRhEPs76c?si… 3:40 mark Tupac criticizing Toure for characterizing his court cases and arrests as being "theatrical". There was nothing theatrical about gunshots, robberies, paranoia about your enemies finishing you off, angry at the press portrayal of you.

Mind was blown from what I heard today. Even more important more than ever to elevate the voices of those that actually knew Tupac like Watani Tyehimba, Jamal Joseph, Leila Steinberg, Atron Gregory. It's the same recycled talking points from people in journalism and social media.

Man, I wish Tupac Shakur was alive because every fan, journalist, critic have ascribed their own inaccurate opinions about his motivations to the point of blurring the lines of truth and perception. On what planet are Tupac and Drake the same person?
