5/18-22 Update ⭐️My most expensive habit wasn't a bad setup. It was entering before confirmation.⭐️ Went back through every trade and split them in two piles. Entries where the chart confirmed first, and entries where I jumped early on a read I "knew" was right. Confirmed: 96% win rate. Early: 0%. Never won. Not once. The read wasnt the issue. The leak was acting on it before the chart agreed. Same bug shows up two ways. The itch to enter early. The freeze that holds a loser hoping it comes back. Both are you trying to control how you feel right now instead of what the trade is actually worth. You dont fix that with willpower. Willpower loses to adrenaline every time. You fix it with architecture. Decide cold, before the moment. Write the invalidation down. Wait for confirmation. Then the panics got nothing to grab, the call was already made when you were calm. Stop trying to be braver in the moment. Move the decision to where the moment can't reach it.

@IBKR why is it so difficult to setup an account with you? Automated ai cool down period, nothing can be done by talking to support. Did the same thing on @WebullGlobal the account was setup fully ready to go in 30 mins🤣

i used to revenge trade constantly. i'd take a loss. feel the panic. immediately open another position. tell myself it was "reading the market." it wasn't. i was a caveman with a phone. here's what i learned: your brain links trading to survival. when you lose, it doesn't see a clean stop out. it sees a threat. so it does what brains have done for millions of years. it problem solves. the only tool in front of you is a buy button. so you click it. that trade has less than 5% chance of working. not because you're unlucky. because every decision in that moment is emotional. not analytical. my worst day ever — -$7,036 — started with one bad trade. then a revenge trade. then another. the first loss was $300. the revenge trades turned it into $1,860. the loss didn't blow my day. the next trades did. and here's the honest truth: even the best traders still feel the urge to revenge trade. everyone does. it never fully goes away. it's not a switch you flip once and it's fixed. it's a bad habit you have to unlearn. day in. day out. every single session. so here's the solution i use: i stick to 1:1 risk to reward. if i risk $150, i'm looking for $150. that's it. not because 1:1 is the most profitable ratio. because it makes the loss feel smaller. if i lose $150 and my next clean setup wins $150— i'm back to zero. not in a hole chasing $500. when the loss feels recoverable, the panic doesn't come. when the panic doesn't come, the caveman stays home. the goal isn't to never feel the urge. the goal is to make the urge smaller every time. 1:1 RR is part of how i do that. rules: • loss = close the app. wait for cleaner setup. • don’t oversize. • 1:1 RR keeps losses feel recoverable, not catastrophic. • 3 losses = done for the day. always. this is a habit to unlearn. not a switch to flip. dont be a $spy 0dte caveman.

📊2/3 Today. -$370, +$471, +$670 Total +$701 The loss is the post. Held SPXW 7440C on a VIX-crush thesis for too long during the morning chop, broke the hard cut rule. VIX did what I was expecting. Price did not. The VIX showed it wasn't lying and was paired with several negative gamma clusters that was chopping every move into theta drain. Indicator was right. Microstructure underneath the indicator was wrong. The trade I picked sat directly on top of the chop zone. No adds, capped risk, held while the thesis was alive, accepted the cost. Defensible yet broke a rule, far from optimal, and ideally do not repeat going forward. I should have recognized the vehicle-microstructure mismatch sooner, cut the misfit position smaller, redeployed into a cleaner expression of the same read. Which I eventually did on SPY 739C and QQQ 711C on the same VIX-crush thesis and both paid. ‼️End of day ALWAYS requires a debrief, THIS IS WHERE THE FUTURE P&L WILL COME FROM, understanding yourself‼️ 1. Was the decision defensible given what you knew? 2. Was it optimal given the same information? 3. Did you break a rule? Today was Yes and No / No / Hard Yes. That's the gap to close. New rule gets added to the system: The trade is the thesis, not the strike. If the lead vehicle is sitting on bad structure, redeploy. Don't defend the misfit. Tomorrow is Friday, PROTECT THIS WEEKS PROFITS! Be safe! 🫡

In April I called $AAPL perfectly and lost money on it. Wrote the thesis on here April 17. Dips into 260s. Invalidates below 260. T1 270s-275s. T2 285s-290s. Every level held. Every target hit. Stock is at 300+ today. I missed, froze, chased, exited in ~2 days for a loss. Red was uncomfortable. Invalidation never triggered. I didn't have an execution layer to know where I was inside my own plan or environment. The spiral after that trade almost blew the account. Instead it sent me to reflect, process, build. I couldn't take it anymore. Brick by brick. Rule by rule to be here now. May: +$3,768 on 29 trades. 79.3% win rate. The plan was never the problem. The trader in me reading the market was already there. The trader in me pressing the buttons had to be BUILT. This missed/botched trade is the reason the system exists. Man God is good, there’s always a way🙏

your stops are too tight. that's why you keep getting stopped out. for $SPY 0DTE — use a 15–20% risk window. here's why: entry: $1.00 stop: $0.82 that's $0.18 difference = 18% risk. now here's what happens with stops that are too tight or too wide: 5–10% stop — gets hit on normal price action. $SPY breathes $0.30–0.50 constantly. your option moves with it. a 10% stop is noise. not a signal. 25–30% stop — too much damage when wrong. you're giving back too much before admitting the trade failed. 15–20% is the sweet spot. why: 0DTE premiums are volatile by nature. they swing fast in both directions. you need enough room to let the setup develop without getting shaken out by normal chop. but you also need a hard line that protects your account if the level breaks and the trade is just wrong. 15–20% gives you that balance. room to breathe. protection when it matters. my setup every trade: entry size: $1,000 campaign stop: -15 to -20% = $150–$200 max loss target: +15% = $150 profit define it before you click buy. not after.

5/20 Update ~ 34 days since building up my system + rules. Learned from so many to get here and I couldn't be more thankful! @SkylitAI is home ❤️ The trade that really solidified it for me so far was the loss on 5/13. Took a setup against what VIX was telling me. Awful read on a rocketship of a day... cue breaking point round 42069. The losing trade paid for itself ten times over because it forced the rule that was missing. Losses are not enemies. Theyre evidence of your execution patterns. Doubling down on understanding yourself is the work. During market hours the edge is patience bc it will often times land you right where you need to be. Just put in the work. Believe.. 1. More. Time. Thats all it takes. You won't regret it! 🙏 🟢👹

When the business model of some people on here is to create a piece of software, then call everyone who doesn’t use it a fraud… you have already lost. More drama here than dealing with a hormonal pregnant lady lol

i trade $SPY 0DTE. i share my P&L every day. not because i have it figured out. because documenting is how i learn. every trade. every level. every win. every loss. shared in real time as it happens. the strategies i post aren't perfect. no strategy is. but they're honest. and they're mine. i'm refining this in public. not presenting a finished product. some days i follow the rules and win. some days i break them and pay for it. both get posted. because that's the real journey. not the highlight reel. and if you're somewhere in the beginning of yours — just know: you can't compare your chapter 1 to someone else's chapter 20. we all have our own timeline. our own losses to learn from. our own version of this. all i can do is keep showing up. keep documenting. keep refining. and share every step of it with you. if that’s something you value real trades. real losses. feel free to follow and connect. we’re all learning. hope you all keep winning out there.
