PAUL NWOSU: "Letโ€™s be blunt. The recent attacks on Ndi Igbo in East London, South Africa, following the installation of an โ€œEze Ndi Igbo,โ€ were tragically predictable. When cultural lines are crossed in a continent where tradition is sacred, backlash is inevitable. What is shocking is not the reaction; it is that we keep provoking it. This is not new. Ghana witnessed a similar uproar when Chukwudi Ihenetu was crowned โ€œEze Ndi Igbo Ghana,โ€ nearly sparking a diplomatic crisis. Truth is that self-imposed coronations in foreign lands, especially in black Africa, ignite anger and endanger the lives of millions of law-abiding Igbos in that country." thecable.ng/how-self-styleโ€ฆ

Key Benefits of EPO ร’Bร’: Spiritual Protection: Epo Obo is widely used to protect against witchcraft, clear negative energies, and fortify spiritual defenses. Cleansing and Peace: It removes spiritual blockages, wards off evil forces, and promotes peace, clarity, and emotional resilience. Shield Against Evil: It acts as a powerful barrier against curses, harmful intentions, spiritual attacks, and malevolent forces.

Titilola Damilola wrote. Yesterday at Lisabi Day in Abeokuta, I looked around and asked myself, kini gbogbo eleyi? What is this? If awakening means losing ourselves in borrowed identities, then we are not awakening, we are drifting. I am Egba. My mother is Egba. So I know what Egba heritage looks like. I know the pride, the simplicity, the identity in our dressing. What I saw yesterday? It didnโ€™t feel like us. At some point, our cultural expressions started looking like a costume party, confused, mixed, and disconnected. We are borrowing aesthetics from everywhere, yet slowly forgetting what is originally ours. This is not about criticism for the sake of it. It is about preservation. Culture is not something you decorate, it is something you understand, protect, and represent correctly. You donโ€™t awaken a culture by abandoning its identity. You awaken it by owning it fully. If Egba people cannot confidently represent Egba culture in Abeokuta, then where exactly will it be preserved? Yoruba awakening does not start with festivals. It starts with the mindset. Knowing who we, respecting it and refusing to dilute it for trends or aesthetics. If we donโ€™t define our culture, others will and we will start wailing again. Yoruba Ronu o!

@Ralphdon71 @deluxe_pastor It's your useless generation and your useless father thats oloriburuku, no one claims your useless ancestors, rather you go about stealing people's identity, like how you stole Bini identity as yours and now you have stolen Igbo's.

Just as with Odรนduwร , there is also deep confusion around แปŒbร tรกlรก, because Yorรนbรก tradition often preserves both a primordial and a historical layer under the same sacred name. แปŒbร tรกlรก the Irรบnmแปlแบนฬ€ belongs to primordial time; regarded in many traditions as the first and eldest among the Irรบnmแปlแบนฬ€, entrusted by Olรณdรนmarรจ to lead the work of forming Ilแบนฬ€-ayรฉ. Oral accounts say that along the journey he encountered sacred palm wine, became distracted, and the unfinished task passed into another divine sequence. Obร tรกlรก the ร’rรฌแนฃร ; also remembered as ร’rรฌแนฃร -Nlรก, belongs to human sacred history. This was ร’แนฃรจrรจmร gbรฒ, born in Ifแบนฬ€ and associated with รŒrร njแบน, who rose to become one of the most powerful leaders of early Ifแบนฬ€ society; a figure remembered not merely for sanctity, but for political strength, earning the description แปŒba Takuntakun. So again: Obร tรกlรก the Irรบnmแปlแบนฬ€ = primordial divine source Obร tรกlรก the ร’rรฌแนฃร  = historical human manifestation One belongs to cosmogony and creation narratives. The other belongs to sacred memory and lived kingship. #YorubaHistory #Obatala #YorubaPhilosophy #Orisa

A major confusion in Yorรนbรก historical thought is treating Odรนduwร  as a single figure across all layers of tradition. In many deep accounts, two distinct realities are involved: Odรนduwร  the Irรบnmolรจ belongs to primordial time; a divine being who descended from ร’run to Ayรฉ and completed aspects of creation after Obร tรกlรกโ€™s early work. He later emerged as a leading authority among the Irรบnmolรจ in Ifแบนฬ€-Oรฒdรกyรฉ, before the great flood that ended that first age and transformed the Irรบnmolรจ from embodied beings into spiritual forces. Odรนduwร  the ร’rรฌแนฃร , however, belongs to human history. This was แปŒwรก Lแบนฬrแบนฬ€แปlร  แปŒฬ€tแบนฬ€tแบนฬ, born at ร’kรจ-แปŒrร  in Ifแบนฬ€, whose ร€kแปsรจjรกyรฉ revealed him as an earthly embodiment of the primordial Odรนduwร . He therefore bore that sacred name, rose as a warrior and unifier, gathered the dispersed people of Ifแบนฬ€-Oรฒyรจlagbรฒ, and established the renewed royal order of Ilรฉ-Ifแบนฬ€; giving rise to the divine kingship later carried by the แปŒแปฬ€ni dynasty. In simple terms: Odรนduwร  the Irรบnmolรจ = primordial divine source Odรนduwร  the ร’rรฌแนฃร  = historical human manifestation One belongs to cosmogony. The other belongs to sacred political history. #YorubaHistory #Oduduwa #IleIfe #YorubaPhilosophy
