Don’t look now but @NHLFlyers head into the Xmas break in 2nd place or higher in division for the 1st time since ‘11-12 (per NHL). They’re in top 6 in overall NHL standings in points % on pace for 103pts. Long way to go, but an impressive 1st 36 games overall. Merry Christmas!!

In some disappointing, but not surprising news - PHLY Sports’ Charlie O’Connor (@charlieo_conn) has reported that Brad Shaw won’t return to the #Flyers bench next season. Shaw was interviewed for the head coaching position, but lost out to Rick Tocchet. It’s his decision on not coming back. Brad Shaw as an assistant coach did some great work with defensemen like Rasmus Ristolainen and will be missed.
