Been seein a lot of (WC) beginner multi animator proj drama on my fyp& I don't understand,if u're not accepted to join a map why don't u jus make ur own amv/pmvs?It nvr has to be the full song/audio,use ur own designs as elaborate or simple as u like,keep editing within ur limits

@fawnlingstars Yeah definitely a slightly different audience since my content is mostly OC stuff now I have a limited perspective on this I just thought sad brought up a good point that I hadn’t seen talked about yet

@RamKat_ Well I hope you're able to correct that record and support them on that journey! I suppose I have a different audience since I mainly do MAProjects ^^ There's definitely a lot of conversations that need to be had as a community, because that's really upsetting to hear happening

@fawnlingstars I think it has changed a little bit in the past couple years, I’m seeing people get more ambitious with their first projects and it’s awesome but I still have the same conversation about it every couple months

@fawnlingstars I have a discord server where I share my wips and a lot of people ask me for advice about my process which often leads to this discussion and I’ve heard a lot of artists say they think they have to wait to get an audience in the map community before trying solo projects

@fawnlingstars Encourage people to give their solo ideas a try, longer projects are better for the algorithm and it adds examples to the portfolio without waiting around for someone to give them permission to start, that way they can get into even more maps if that’s what they want to do

@fawnlingstars To get views on their work and Ive never benefited that way from map parts, everyone deserves to try their hand at collaboration but if its an issue of trying to grow an audience which I know many people are trying to do (not to say it’s the only reason ofc) we should also

@sadmachlne666 I have however multiple times seen solo projects from brand new accounts gain traction and thousands of views for concepts that wouldn’t even take very long to pull off, the beginner map issue isnt something that can be fixed the way some people want but there are other options

@sadmachlne666 Seriously this 😭 they talk about it like you have to join maps in order to get traction but that’s not true at all, I’ve never had a map part do well on YouTube and very few people are looking up individual artists it’s not even a good way to grow your following
