IIT Bombay research shows that heatwaves over the Indo-Gangetic Plains are primarily driven by local land and atmospheric factors, rather than by hot air travelling from elsewhere. This is India's first full stack quantum computer. And it was built by Bengaluru-based @qpiai - exactly 1 year ago. The man behind the startup is Nagendra Nagaraja, an Indian quantum physicist, who left his job with NVIDIA in 2016 to start one of India's first AI chip company called AlphaICs. And a lot of people don't know this but he also a bunch of other companies under QpiAI - which are working on some incredible projects. -> QpiVolta launched India's first indigenously built high energy density solid state battery cell -> SuperQ is building the superconducting material that goes into building your quantum computer This is a full stack approach - building everything from scratch - every part that goes into building quantum computers. Right now, they've only built a 25 qubit supercomputer called QpiAI-Indus but by 2028 they are planning to launch their flagship 1000 qubit quantum computer named QpiAI-Everest - putting them in the big leagues.

Zangnan is China’s territory, and China has never recognized the so-called “Arunachal Pradesh” illegally set up by #India. It is entirely within China's sovereignty to standardize the names of some places in Zangnan region, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Tuesday when asked to comment on Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson on Sunday rejected China’s action, claiming that such a move undermines efforts to stabilize ties between the two countries, following China’s release on April 10 of the sixth batch of standardized names in the Zangnan region. At present, China-India relations are generally stable. China's policy committed to improving and develop China-India relations remains unchanged, Guo said. “We hope the two sides will meet each other halfway and do more things that are conducive to bilateral relations,” Guo added.

Today, February 28, 2026, India is celebrating National Science Day to honour one of the greatest scientific breakthroughs by an Indian scientist. On February 28, 1928, the brilliant Indian physicist Sir C.V. Raman announced the discovery of the "Raman Effect." In simple terms, the Raman Effect is the phenomenon where a beam of light (usually a laser) passes through a transparent material (like water, glass, or a chemical), and most of the light scatters without changing colour. But a tiny portion of the light changes its wavelength (colour) because it interacts with the molecules in the material. This discovery earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. He was the first Indian and the first Asian to receive a Nobel Prize in any branch of science. In 1986, the Government of India officially designated February 28 as National Science Day to honour this legacy and promote scientific thinking.
