Hearts are welcomed back to Tynecastle by a defiant support.
Defeat to Celtic on the final day of the season ended their hopes of bringing home the club's first top flight title since 1960.

Today we remember, father of two, Sergeant Charles Chapman, from the Queen's Regiment, murdered on the 16th May 1990.
Provisional Irish Republican Army (PIRA) terrorists planted a bomb underneath a minibus at an army recruiting centre in Wembley, northwest London. The van was an unmarked white Leyland Sherpa parked in an alleyway behind the office, which was checked by the two soldiers beforehand but the bomb was cleverly hidden, and detonated as Sergeant Chapman turned on the ignition.
The injured also included his colleague, who received shrapnel wounds to his legs and right shoulder, and a burned face. Police were looking for a suspect on a motorbike, but no one was ever convicted of Sergeant Chapman's murder.

Those who questioned the integrity of Sam Nicholson owe the boy an apology.
The @MotherwellFC player swore on his kids life that the ball didn’t strike his hand.
This new video clip is the clearest evidence of that.

@RangersFC
How this was handled is absolutely unacceptable and inappropriate. He is our team captain and should have had the send off he deserved and a final game with his own son as a ball boy and his children as mascots. Now he'll never have that opportunity again

🚨 HORRIFIC, PLEASE SHARE HER FACE - STARVED DOG TO A HORRIFIC & PAINFUL DEATH OVER MONTHS
⚠️ LUCY CRADDOCK, 27
🌍 LEOMINSTER HEREFORD
CONVICTED | Lucy Marie Craddock, 27, from #leominster, Herefordshire HR6 – for “extreme levels of neglect and cruelty” towards a dog presented dead on arrival at the vet..
Craddock guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to an American bulldog called Ocean.
The RSPCA investigated Craddock after she took Ocean’s skeletal remains to a local vet practice on June 13, 2025. The deceased pet, who was wrapped in a duvet, was covered in faeces and urine.
Examination found that she was extremely emaciated with sunken eyes. She weighed just 7kg against an ideal weight for her breed of around 30kg.
Craddock reportedly told the vet that Ocean had been “off her food for several days and she was hand-feeding her”.
However, a post-mortem concluded that the dog had died from prolonged starvation. She had little muscle fat and was also suffering from pressure sores.
There was evidence that she had eaten her own faeces in her desperation for food.
Handing out a rare immediate prison sentence, magistrates told Craddock that having viewed the “distressing” photos of Ocean’s body, they could not accept that she was unaware that the dog was suffering.
They added: “Given the extreme level of neglect and cruelty, only an immediate custodial sentence could be justified.”
Sentencing | 16-week custodial; £154 victim surcharge. Disqualified for life from having anything to do with animals.
