@kaching720 @RamsMKW Don’t really think the sprites themselves need updating but extra slot support and would be really really nice🙏🏾

@JuniThePuny it’s fucking weird that they’re at different tempos and the instrument differences can vary from “not too different” to “HUH????” depending on which part of the song you’re listening to

@DaNintendude @JuniThePuny i did think about that, mainly pointed out differences with how DK is drawn with this reply to someone else: x.com/ramsmkw/status…

@YearOldOnTwit @JuniThePuny yeah, notice the eyeballs being directly next to each other, plus the lower face (mouth, nostrils, that kinda stuff) being rather different compared to what Nakaue typically does with Donkey Kong it’s either just a looser style or it’s possibly not made by Nakaue
English

@RamsMKW @JuniThePuny I don't think it was Nakaue. He didn't work on ARMS.
Nakaue is often credited as THE Mario artist, but while he IS the main one, there are a handful of others.
Yu Yamamoto has worked on a ton of modern Mario stuff, and he's one of the illustrators for ARMS. It may have been him.

@YearOldOnTwit @JuniThePuny either way it’s awesome stuff, especially the way Mario is drawn
English

@RamsMKW @JuniThePuny Yeah maybe it was a collab piece or just someone else.
English

@YearOldOnTwit @JuniThePuny there’s less emphasis on the upper part of his mouth below the nostrils as well, something DK almost always has even outside of Nakaue illustrations

English

@YearOldOnTwit @JuniThePuny well you say that but DK is right there, he’s not really that similar to any Nakaue DKs, before and after the Switch 2 redesign
English

@RamsMKW @JuniThePuny This definitely Nakaue. Mario is one to one the way he draws him.
