I look at this motor and know exactly what everything is. It has less wires than a toaster. If it's running rich, turn a screw. If it blows up get another motor for $500 and slap it in. Sure a new truck gets 20 mpg. This one costs 10x less.

I got my license in 1992 and have driven (or ridden in) most (likely all) of these when new. The nostalgia doesn’t quite match the experience. None of these were really great to drive.
