searching for a font on google changes the font of the page??

turns out this object make the game crash when trying to render it, i've uploaded it if anyone is interested (read comments) thanks a lot to @Alphalaneous for helping me finding this !!

@Hermin_GD @Alphalaneous however, the object you used only has the detail colour. detail is assigned "lighter", but there is no base colour. when the object enters the screen, the game is confused, and the result is a crash. this can happen to any one-colour objects, not just the one you showed (2/2)

@Hermin_GD @Alphalaneous after some tests, i found that the object didn't crash the game, but the colour assigned to it did. the colour was "lighter", which are occassionally used on objects with two colours, base and detail. "lighter" just means the detail colour is lighter than the base. (1/2)

@hisho_of_imy It's because some letters with overlapping components aren't merged together, which makes a huge mess especially in an .otf. The project isn't very well-maintained at the moment because I have a different massive project, and I also don't have plans for bug fixes.

@basit_designs Overused Grotesk and Bricolage Grotesque are open-source, which means you can also use them commercially👍 Also many unofficial distributors don't update the files. You have to search for "github + 'font name'" and go to the original GitHub repos to get up-to-date fonts.

@IamKunleola @jobosonchisa It started as a joke, but it kinda got more serious and "purposeful" overtime. It originiated from an "I saw a million type designers and foundries make neo-grotesk typefaces, let's make my own". Now it's like a "more people are interested in my font, let's make it functional".

Currently trying to find the font that RobTop used in this vid he shared a while ago. I'm like 99% sure he just googled "mario maker font" but I can't find a perfect match anywhere. My best guess is that it's an older version of a font that was later updated to be more accurate
