we're losing kiin, doran, and showmaker to the military. doran and showmaker still have a couple of years left, but kiin will pretty much retire at the end of this year (if im not mistaken) unless he goes abroad

And the trade deadline was right in front of their eyes. BFX had to decide quick. Diable literally was playing soloQ after the incident. He had time to apologize.

@voyez_nea @mapodoodle BFX started the trade talk not Diable though? When BFX was engaging in talks, Shadow Corp (diable agency) was putting out messages that Diable is reflecting and working to regain BFX trust and play in tier 1 again.

@mapodoodle from what I've gathered, it wasn't just from one fanmeet or sudden decision for them to demote him and it's actually from the players side asking his agency to look for other team for him.. the sudden decision was from the players advantage so he can play during R2

idk is it really like there was nothing the coaching staff / managers thought could be done w diable? like ofc we wont know anything until bts stuff is released but sending him to tier 2 so quickly then finalising a trade seems a bit sudden. it's not even enough time imo for

Big news happened in the middle of the season. Two big-name players were traded: Diable and Taeyoon. I think both teams needed a big change. So when I look at both teams’ situations, this trade makes sense for both sides. First, let’s put Diable’s attitude issue aside. As a player, Diable is very aggressive. Sometimes that can be very good, but sometimes it can be dangerous for the team. So his aggression is like a double-edged sword. But NS has many veteran players. So I’m curious if they can control his aggression and make him play even better. For BNK, I personally don’t think Taeyoon’s performance has been great. Before the season, people had high expectations for him. But so far, he has not played at that level. So maybe this trade was not the situation he wanted. But I think it can be a good chance for him to prove himself again. Especially, Kellin and VicLa are good at playing around bot lane and making snowball plays. So BNK could be a very good place for Taeyoon to show his value. The most shocking part is the timing. This trade happened during the season. One team reached the LCK Cup final, and the other team clearly has a roster that wants to win the championship. So I understand why both teams made this decision, but I’m still very surprised that this kind of trade happened during the season. Also, Diable’s attitude scandal probably made this trade happen faster. And both teams did not have much time to finish the deal so it was a really unexpected and shocking trade for me.

@topjglduo Well technically only taeyoon is paying the price for it? Its not like these moves aren't talked about with teams before they go for it, so the rest of the NS roster seems fine with the trade. Pretty rare for management to just trade players without talking to rest of the team.

idk man i’m not even a fan of either team but this trade feels so unfair to ns players and taeyoon 🥲 why is everyone paying the price for one kid’s tantrum and an org that couldn’t deal with it
