@munbi_chan That's cool. I personally think the 4Kids voices are bad. They're over-the-top caricatures who end up feeling like archetypes more than characters, and the script doesn't help at all. There are some bad takes and overall voice direction issues in Cinélume, but I prefer them.

@RandomSisco One of the reason why I like it is because of the VAs... I just don't like cinelume voices.. some of them sound so monotonous, and for me it makes it harder to enjoy it

@AutumBreezes I can and I did. I think 4Kids' "teen talk" is an embarrassing example of adults trying and failing to write "hip" teen speech with corny lingo and puns. I don't think the 4Kids Winx characters tall like teens, they talk like caricatures of teens. x.com/i/status/20763…

@RandomSisco At least the characters actually talk like teenagers instead of what little kids think teenagers sound like. You can't argue against 4kidz making teens actually talk like teens

@AutumBreezes @jayispurple Firstly, the performances are irrelevant to the writing quality of the banter. Secondly, anyone can reference a scene and compare for the sake of presenting their preferred version as better. Thirdly, the scene referenced isn't even indicative of the point you're trying to make.

@RandomSisco @jayispurple Bloom when the Trix insult Merta in 4kidz dub: snaps angrily at them. Bloom when the Trix insult Merta in Cinelume dub: meekly says "you're so mean". Sure. The Cinelume dub was "sassy and better written" there🙄

@AutumBreezes @ainsleyharr1ot That is hilarious, because the script direction where dumb slang and stupid puns that 4Kids plastered all over their dub is exactly the type of ridiculous out-of-touch bs writers would write thinking they're writing "teenagers". That's literally one of 4Kids' worst offenses.
