A new shared path connecting with Rainbow Street Public School in Randwick is now open!

A reminder that a complete alcohol ban at all Randwick Council beaches and beachside parks will take effect these holidays: Friday 20 December 2024 @ 8pm until Monday 6 January 2025 @ 6am and Friday 24 January 2025 @ 8pm until Tuesday 28 January 2025 @ 6am.

UPDATE: The source of the overflow has been identified and our crews are onsite now.

Our environmental health team is investigating water pollution at Coogee Beach, suspected to be runoff from a building site via stormwater drains. If you’ve seen beige/discoloured water near Coogee, call us at 1300 722 542. Avoid swimming in the affected area for now.

BEACH UPDATE: Clovelly Beach and the northern end of Maroubra Beach have been closed to the public today, Thursday 17 October 2024, after Randwick Council and the EPA identified more ball-shaped debris washed ashore overnight: randwick.nsw.gov.au/about-us/news/…

BEACH UPDATE: Gordons Bay Beach is closed after more mysterious, sphere-shaped debris were found washed up. Council is working closely with the @NSW_EPA to develop a clean-up methodology and safe disposal process for the debris.

Hey @RandwickCouncil many weeks ago i told you of a major hazard on one of your footpaths where there is a open stormwater pit waiting for someone to fall in. Checked it today. Still there and open for anyone to break a leg in. Good to see you take resident safety seriously.

@andrewheading22 The water leak was reported to Sydney Water on 02/06. SW refer number for the job is 9198 8349.

@RandwickCouncil there has been water leaking down Grosvenor Rd from Kensington rd near Our Lady of the Rosary Primary school and OLSH for over a week. I’m told multiple people have informed council yet 7+ days later it is still POURING down the road. Please sort it out!!
