Just trying to be realistic here, I know the devs have been working hard all year and want a win before leaving for the holidays, but I really don't think Engineering should be rushed before years end. With 200+ ships in the game that are going to use this, there's bound to be numerous balance and functionality issues. On the Perseus alone, the aft engineering council wasn't working, coolers had no effect, alarms were only sounding for 1 person, fire extinguishers aren't mounted correctly to show charging status, fires were appearing in unreachable locations, some components couldn't be highlighted or repaired, and the reactor goes critical without any way to stop it. They've clearly made huge progress, but I think this needs another few months of testing and improvements before it goes live.
