So the day has come… today is Martin O’Neill’s final day as Celtic manager. He arrived when we needed him most and instantly gave this group belief again. He took the keys of a tired old Honda Civic, gave it an MOT, filled it with fuel and got it back on the road with pride. Before Martin walked back through the door, this squad had been run into the ground. Players were publicly criticised week after week, confidence was shattered, and responsibility was never taken where it belonged. Hearts were 8 points clear, and on the very day he answered the SOS call, Martin still tipped them for the league on talkSPORT that’s how big the task was in front of him. And yet… Since taking charge he has: ✔️ Knocked Rangers out of the cup ✔️ Won away in Europe for the first time in 4 years ✔️ Won more than 3 games in a row for the first time since November 2024 ✔️ Kept a 100% domestic winning record ✔️ Closed the gap to Hearts to just 2 points with a game in hand ✔️ Done all of that without CCV, AJ, Jota & Iheanacho No ego. No noise. Just a genuine love for Celtic and its supporters. A man who truly wants what’s best for this football club. In the middle of one of the most negative, difficult periods I can remember as a fan, Martin gave us weeks of nostalgia and so many magical moments a breath of fresh air when we badly needed one. Care, belief and pride were injected back into Celtic Park. Tonight, let’s make sure he knows exactly what he means to us. Thank you, Martin, from the bottom of our hearts. The one true Boss.
