They were trying to create a Peacewolf 2.0 scenario out of me. If you're unfamiliar, it was an infamous scandal involving Peacewolf's messy divorce to enter a poly relationship with two controversial figures, which spilled into the public realm and divided furry fan bases; she had this act of being a pure Christian until the incident, causing her to deconvert from Christianity by pressure and free will due to the scandal's severity. The same incident happened with @/doyounearme after coming clean about her abortion. Instead of hearing her out, the attacks happened, and she effectively deconverted because of the scorn, excommunicated by puritans. This playbook was being used on some of my mutuals when they come clean with everything and/or their intentions. In truth, I expected to be attacked next, and I was right. This is a frequent pattern I've seen with puritans who attack those who deviate and flawed faithfuls: find something they don't like in someone, attack and shame with hopes they'll cave or leave, move on, rinse and repeat. What's the lesson here? Don't let the mob rob you of your faith through shame; maintain your ground, quit worrying about trying to please the collective when they don't have your best interests in mind, and focus on what you can control without obsessing over worldly chaos.
