BREAKING: Boston 25 Sources identify the man who fired at law enforcement on Memorial Drive as 46 year old Tyler Brown. A Tyler Brown with the same birthdate previously shot at Boston Police Officer in May 2020. Then Suffolk DA Rachael Rollins put out a news release in 2021, criticizing the Judge who sentenced Brown in that case for only giving him five to six years in state prison and three years of probation. Rollins said: “I strongly believe that the sentence we proposed – 10 to 12 years followed by five years of probation – was appropriate for the level of brazen violence committed. A school bus was doing its usual morning route in Canton, Massachusetts, when a guy named Aaron Jamal Whitehead blocked it with his car on Randolph Drive. He was trying to get his kid on at a stop that wasn’t scheduled. The driver said no company rules only allow pickups at designated stops. That didn’t go over well. Before the bus left, Whitehead told the driver, “I’m going to f** you up at the next stop.”* The driver called police and stayed on the line as he kept driving. At the next stop on Avalon Drive in Randolph, Whitehead followed the bus, got on, and went straight for the driver. He hit him multiple times, grabbed his phone, and threw it before taking off. There were kids on the bus the whole time. None were physically hurt, but a lot of them were crying when police showed up. Parents nearby were shaken. The driver was treated at the scene and then taken to the hospital. Whitehead was arrested the next evening in Stoughton. He’s facing charges including assault and battery on someone over 60, witness intimidation, destroying property, and disorderly conduct. He was held without bail, and when the judge announced it in court, he just shook his head. The whole thing was caught on the bus cameras.
