@RatchetFPL totally i think this is it. people want to get the same thing they signed up for over and over with higher stakes but the show completely changes priorities. it reminds me of the reception to 28 Years Later last year if u watched it

@oscarinos_ @raptqrs @akeltheartist that narrative arc is great, but I think many see it as not what they signed up for. they were geared up for this crazy and frantic chase for 2 and 3 stars and just want fast paced cooking content basically

@Ix_Baaqi @akeltheartist the s4 direction they took carmy was one of my favourite decisions on tv ever. like what do you mean a mainstream tv show completely diverted the main character’s drive of the 3 seasons into a lack of passion of sorts!!!

@oscarinos_ @akeltheartist i was thinking about this this morning. i completely understand why the general public didn’t like them as much (i also prefer s2), and maybe i’m doing too much but i think some of the hate comes down to anti-intellectualism
