Kane is not in the bracket of Benzema/Suarez/Lewandowski, he’s the tier below them with Aguero/Rooney etc. idk why him scoring 50 goals for Bayern puts in that convo

@EBL2017 don’t disagree but I think there’s a glaring omission from this analysis the biggest question mark around him scaling up imo is how his relentless intensity translates to playing 2-3 times a week with European football will be hard not to burn out á la Howe

Iraola… Similar to Carrick as a coach, but definitely better. Why? Both use a diamond press but Iraola’s model transitions into a man-to-man press with far greater reliability. In possession, basic balance is given to the players. Not hellbent on rigid positional play. With good recruitment, man-management skills to handle the dressing room, and emotional stability to deal with the highs and lows of managing a huge club, media pressure, etc, Iraola can succeed at Manchester United. Iraola does not profile as a traditionally elite coach but you don’t need to be to succeed at United. But neither did Klopp’s. Positional play wasn’t his forte (until later on in his Liverpool career). They are very similar coaches. Iraola’s game-model gives his players enough detail out of possession to press well but also to defend deep along with providing sufficient balance and freedom to the players in possession. But where Iraola differs to Klopp is his character. He lacks that presence and leadership. As a coach, the fit works as it aligns with United’s DNA. The only thing that Iraola must prove is if he is the right psychological profile to lead Manchester United. Does he deserve the opportunity to prove that? I think he does.

@FPL_Harry @fplrhinos @FPLJag I don’t see it as a massively bad thing personally as a Bijol owner - him to Gabriel was already my most likely transfer this week and this just makes that move an easier decision

@_uncle_gworl @PattyBourree Season 2 is purgatory. there’s honestly no need to slog through it. You could literally skip the entire season and pick up in season 3 just fine.

You can always tell the absolute wet wipes of world by how they react to these stories on footy players having a booze. He likes a beer. He’s not an alcoholic. He doesn’t ’need help’. He’s a professional footballer and has been for 10 years. P.s His friends are wank though

You look at the number of injuries, especially knee injuries, that Real Madrid and Spurs have had in recent seasons. It's hard to ignore the retractable pitch theory icl.

🚨 Omar Marmoush and Tijjani Reijnders are both expected to leave Manchester City this summer. The Egyptian forward and the Netherlands midfielder have failed to make an impression since joining the club, lost their place in the team and struggled for minutes for most of the season.
