The Serpent Loses the Throne False Moon, True Fire This work is about false sovereignty. It begins with a sealed chamber and a sleeping humanity: a skull crowned by blindness, occupied from within by a serpent of false light. The dragon emerges not merely as evil in a simple sense, but as counterfeit transcendence — invasive power wearing the mask of illumination, spectacle, and control. Its red moon, displaced halo, and hypnotic gaze represent a state in which the false thing has seized naming rights over the center. But the work does not end there. As the chamber opens, a truer light enters. The serpent begins to lose coherence under exposure. Its form destabilizes. The machinery of spectacle burns with it. What is being depicted is not only defeat, but ontological correction: the false thing loses the throne, and humanity begins to regain its center. The later frames move toward re-alignment, crown, and consecration. The serpent disappears. The halo returns. The crown of thorns emerges. What remains is not innocence untouched by suffering, but humanity transfigured through judgment, witness, and the restoration of rightful relation. This piece is part apocalypse, part icon, part warning, and part prayer. It is an attempt to picture what happens when counterfeit light can no longer remain assembled in the presence of what is real. All glory to God.
