@darran0x Tragically, I honestly just feel late (and trade other coins). I recognize the relative strength, but can’t justify buying in after a run like this when I still feel somewhat unsure about the market in general and I could see another bear market low in the next couple of months.

@RarelyMinted Do you specifically not like the ZEC thesis but like other coins rn, avoiding crypto altogether, or just feel late? I obviously like the thesis but its one of the only coins I own. I'm primarily long AI stocks.

@0xaporia This is not only true for the amount of simultaneous trades but also across time: If I try to enter on LTF in an attempt to catch a HTF move and get stopped out multiple times and keep re-entering the thesis risk accumulates.

“How much of that $1M are you willing to lose on that trade?“ is a flawed question to begin with because risk-per-trade is a flawed approach. Better question is: How much can your whole account move at once and that’s driven by how correlated your positions are, not by any single trade’s size. Per-trade sizing then usually adds size exactly when each new bet is least diversifying. So the rule is blindest precisely when risk is concentrating and accumulating. Risk really is a portfolio-level quantity, so it has to be (or should be, or wants to be, whatever lol) controlled at the portfolio level. If you say “I’ll risk the same amount on every trade”, the total risk on your account just bounces around depending on how many trades happen to appear (which you don’t control btw). That being said: You can make bad tools work. And the advantage of bad tools usually is that they’re simple. Still good knowing about their flaws, innit?
