Sooo... I took up animating the splash screen for @zero_university this week. I come from a motion design background, so After Effects is home for me. Every effect a click away, everything right where my hands expect it. But product work doesn't run on After Effects. The final loader had to be a @Rive file. Built for speed, for vectors, for all things optimized. Making that switch is its own kind of growth. And the hardest part wasn't learning a new tool. It was not wanting to let go of the quality I'd gotten used to. That soft, blurred, smooth motion. Rive doesn't have Fast Blur, or half the effects I reach for without thinking. So I sat with it. Experimented. And eventually found a way to bring that same blur and smoothness back, inside Rive through feather. It worked. And honestly, figuring it out was the most fun I've had all week.

Some of the work I'm most proud of will never ship. And I think that's okay. Our team at @zero_university kept circling one question. How do we make AI feel more human than the way people have been taught to see it? Cold. Predictable. Something that responds, not something that meets you. In one of those conversations, @pixelandpump said something I couldn't shake. What if the AI response didn't just appear, but painted itself into the brand, one stroke at a time? It pulled me in instantly. Because if we were chasing humanness, every path quietly led to the same place. Art. And nothing speaks "art" like a brushstroke. So I started painting. Digitally, but painting. Studying how watercolor bleeds. How a brush hesitates. How paint settles into paper. Trying to give an AI response a soul instead of a script. What I kept coming back to was this. People connect with what they've already felt. A texture they remember. A motion their hand has made. Something completely new can excite us, but it can also push us away. So the question shifted. How do we make something as new as AI feel like something you've always known? That's where the imperfection mattered most. The pause in a stroke. The uneven edge. The breath between motions. Because conversation is the most human thing we do. And we wanted the AI to feel like that. Speaking with you, not at you. The brand meeting you, not announcing itself. In the end, it didn't scale for broader brand reasons. So we let it go. But I walked away with something better than a shipped feature. I walked away understanding that the warmest work doesn't start with a visual. It starts with a feeling you're trying to give someone. Sometimes the value isn't in what you build. It's in what the building teaches you. . . . . #ArtificialIntelligence #ProductDesign #DesignThinking #HumanCenteredAI #CreativeProcess

1/ Vibe-coded this today. WIP of @zero_university on boarding. I built the experience around it with Claude Code. A year ago this was a spec and a two-sprint wait. Today the team is passing my phone around. If you've been wondering whether you're allowed, you are.

@feellikedem0n @instagram @Meta made me wait for weeks and months every time I reached out, only to share generic community guidelines links and then close the case from their side without even solving the problem.

@Rasheemhamsa @instagram No, it is not. I am extremely disappointed because, besides losing 10 years of my life documented there, I lost crucial evidence for a sexual abuse case. I just spoke with support regarding this matter, and I am expecting a response.

@instagram It’s frustrating even after paying for Meta Verified, support couldn’t explain anything. about my disabled Instagram account and they only share guidelines link that I can find online. Is it actually worth paying for “Meta support” if there’s no real support?

@marisagaoro Same thing happened to me🥲 Meta support isn’t giving any clarity on what went wrong other than sending link to community guidelines which I can find online lol!

Marvin Te used Rive's AI agent to build a physics system and applied it to his character rig. He's blending hand-keyframed animation with AI-generated physics. No code background. Rive's AI isn't replacing artists. It's giving them the power to build their own tools.

Some people use spreadsheets to avoid emotional intimacy. Others use them to ensure federal tax compliance. I am the latter now. Monday, 9:00 AM sharp, Dean. Bring all forty-seven taco receipts.
