You will never see commercials like this ever again. Zoomers had no idea how hard, many commercials went & they actually got you excited to go somewhere, or buy something. Nowadays, commercials need to have some sort of "message" to push.

I think it's a good number. But since Netflix tends to overestimate these things, I, too, would be curious to know what they expected. I agree that the figure seems to indicate baseball fans traveling to Netflix to watch the game (which is still a positive), rather than casual viewers tuning in simply because the game was on Netflix

The most interesting Netflix story of the day is that their weeky ratings came out and the baseball opening day game was not listed in any category. It is impossible that didn't make top ten in the U.S. and likely worldwide as well. This is the first time they've either hid the number of a major sports event on the service OR it was a total disaster as far as viewers.

I understand fans doing it, but it hasn’t just been fans lately. It’s also media members and even some NBA fans saying, "I don’t like this thing the NBA does [flopping, load management, 'woke'], so I’m going to try and convince you that others don't like it either." Some of those complaints are valid, but the projection part is the issue. I do agree that there is more NBA bashing in general. NBA fans don’t go around interjecting, "I haven't watched MLB or the NHL since the '90s," but that happens all the time in NBA discussions, for some reason. It’s been 30 years, respectfully, you’re no longer relevant to the conversation.

@RatingsNBA I fw with the MLB but their fans are so insecure. In general, NBA fans don’t bash any other league they’re usually a fan of the other leagues. But for some reason MLB and NHL fans love taking shots at the NBA any chance they get so they can claim that their sport is better

That doesn't mean I don't favor one over the other, or even that I think my preferred league is perfect. It just means I don't spend time on this app twisting disparate observations into wider proclamations that somehow always back up my unstated original point. The NBA today announced the finalists for the 2025-26 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award. The annual honor recognizes the player deemed the best teammate based on selfless play, on- and off-court leadership as a mentor and role model to other NBA players, and commitment and dedication to team. Current NBA players will select the winner from these 12 finalists (six finalists from each NBA conference).
