The real consumer right is choice. Zakhele Mthembu argues the most important consumer right is the freedom to choose. More regulation raises barriers, protects incumbents, and reduces real options. Real protection comes from freer markets and more competition. Watch the full discussion: youtube.com/live/1KlIh2jC6… 🔴 New episodes Fridays at 12pm CAT

Every regulation adds up to control. @Martin_ASFL explains why no regulation should ever be judged in isolation. Each new rule may seem reasonable on its own, but together they form a chain that gradually replaces consumer freedom with state-defined “rights”. Over time, choice is no longer yours. It is shaped and restricted by regulation. Watch the full discussion: youtube.com/live/1KlIh2jC6… 🔴 New episodes Fridays at 12pm CAT

The essence of my latest op-ed in the @RationalStand on nation-building. "Rainbowism may be noble in intent, but it has failed to take root as South Africa’s unifying civic creed. It is time to rethink nation-building through genuine pluralism rather than imposed identity." The link will be attached in the comments section.

Cape Town is expensive because people want to live there. Beautiful city, good governance, economic opportunity, lifestyle appeal. High demand pushes prices up. That is not injustice. That is reality. Rent control doesn't fix anything. It just makes it worse.

“Consumer rights” are distorting markets. Zakhele Mthembu explains how “consumer rights” have drifted from protecting choice to burdening businesses with regulation. In South Africa, this means higher costs, fewer opportunities for entrepreneurs, and less real choice for consumers. You don’t build a civilisation through hatred. You build it through love - of your people, your family, and what you are. If Western civilisation is to survive, it must be valued more than any single foreign conflict is resented.

I am concerned that big parts of Western civilisation will die because it hates Israel more than it loves itself. And I hope that I am proven wrong.

@visegrad24 Israel should tell the Lebanese government that for every Hezbollah missile that lands in Israel, Israel will claim one kilometre of Lebanese territory. This is fair: if Lebanon cannot control its own jurisdiction, it should relinquish it to those willing and able to do so.
