The end of the year is approaching, and during this season I like to look back at the goals that were achieved, the defeats and the victories. I’m extremely grateful to have a family, friends, a triple A team and a community that continues to support me. Some people believe digital art is dead, but it’s more alive than ever. Just finished Adolescence.. man, it hit me like a truck It made me genuinely thankful I didn’t grow up in the online shitshow we live in today.. The filters.. the influence.. the dopamine brainrot.. the pressure to perform for strangers on a screen Back then, we had space to breathe and fuck up.. to discover who we are without an audience Today’s kids are growing up under a microscope.. It's all fake perfection, bullshit opinions, toxic comparisons and algorithms designed to hijack their mind and tell them who the fuck they are.. before they even get a chance to figure it out themselves It’s not really their fault, it’s the environment.. the poison being pumped in 24/7 Today’s boys and girls are growing up under two completely different sets of pressure.. both brutal in their own way Boys are being sucked into this hyper masculine echo chamber bullshit.. They're told to be strong, dominant, emotionless.. while never being taught how to actually be a man or how to treat a person, let alone a woman It's no wonder they're angry, lost and checking out of society entirely.. and not even given a chance Girls are trapped in this never ending beauty contest.. Filters, unattainable perfection and fake lifestyles warping their brains before they even get blood on their pajamas They're taught their value comes from attention and likes or the approval of random men online It's a world of body dysmorphia, anxiety and perfectionism on loop.. while trying to navigate a world that fucking judges them from every angle This bullshit is just rewiring their innocent, fragile brains It’s no surprise mental health is in the shitter.. They’re not weak, they’re fucking drowning without even knowing it It's become a generation where nothing is real and everyone is performing I just feel so sorry for them.. Watching it reminded me how fragile that period of life is.. If I was raised now, I'm sure my mind would have also gone through the blender Its a real shame that kids are no longer given the time to figure out who the hell they are.. Everything is just hijacked at the earliest opportunity and their fates are left up to the algorithms As a parent to a teen.. it all scares the living shit out of me I dunno.. felt the need to write something 👍
