Disclaimer: no pun intended. Most Cardano DEX tokens all end up looking the same: they exist but they capture little to no real value. A DEX token should do more than just sit next to a product. Yet in most cases, teams built the exchange, kept the revenue and left token holders with a “governance” label instead of real economic participation. The result was simple: the DEX generated profit but that value was never meaningfully tied back to the token. Some would rightfully call the token plain liquidity extraction since it gave no real value to its holders. At North Star DEX, we are designing things differently. 90% of protocol revenue is intended to be shared with token holders. Not vanity utility. Not empty governance theatre. Real alignment with protocol growth. And we are going even further with a refundable ICO commitment: if we do not deliver the product we promise, participants are intended to lose nothing. That is the standard we believe this community deserves.

Ahh yes, let's fund the top 15 dApps! If you are a top 15 dApp i am sorry in advance, but you are most likely about to catch a shot. We are fooling ourselves here, again. This could certainly have some short term impact but long term, what is it doing? Is it changing the structure of the teams who have proven incapable time and time again? Is it actually pushing Cardano ahead in the DeFi race? I'm sorry but if one of these 15 dApps were our way out, why haven't they made it out yet? Seems like another bailout! I don't have the list in front of me, but i'd be shocked if most of the dApps on it haven't been funded enough to have made it at this point. This all just feels like the same song and dance. Why give the same people money and power, over and over again, when they haven't proven competency lmao? Why keep beating the same dead drum? That said, there are some very deserving dApps out there(some top 15 some not) who i think with the right funding and TOOLS, could make it. I emphasize tools because plenty of teams in this ecosystem have had the start-up funds to get off the ground. They do not have the TOOLS to make it any further. Whether that be a limitation of their team (and the inability to procure more local talent), or resources to get investment ready, we are majorly behind other ecosystems like ETH and SOL who see their big projects making multi million dollar raises. We need an investable company. We need a company that produces value outside of Cardano. No wonder we are where we are. If you want more on-chain activity it's quite simple. Build real world applications that use Cardano. How about instead of giving money to teams who barely know how to run businesses, we spend the same budget on 1 outside opportunity that could incorporate Cardano. Could be supply chain tracking, could be ticketing, could be quite literally anything outside of Cardano's ecosystem. Let's fund that, put all the brightest minds in the space towards it, and deliver a knockout punch that shows Cardano's inevitability to be the b2b chain of crypto. I get everyone wants DeFi but i don't think Cardano is currently equipped to pull any real market share away from the industry leaders. Feels like we keep wasting absorbent amounts of time and money to try and win a race that's lost. Let's stop chasing defi so hard and focus on what Cardano can do now. Let's get a commercial/enterprise application of Cardano. Let's get a simple, but big win, outside of our echo chamber. Let's make it so people are using Cardano in their day to day life and don't even know it. That's how we win. Sorry for the long winded rant. I'm just tired. People keep pushing the same narratives not realizing we are just chasing our tail. Instead of helping the top 15 dApps, lets leverage some personal connections and get a real industry titan on board, build them a custom application on the house, and let them take it to the moon. All it takes is one to get u on the map. You can't see the forest for the trees... Let's talk about it
