@LivestoGame @mrpyo1 Have you been living under a rock? No offence but Xbox has been half digital since the Series consoles released. The Series S is only digital. Wouldn't surprise me if they kept with that and offered a Helix X and S. X having a disk slot and S being all digital.

That's called check mate. Xbox and PlayStation are going all digital regardless what gamers demand. They introduced their digital stores. They provided discounts for those digital purchases to increase numbers of sales. They introduced all digital consoles. Now they are ending all physical disc starting 2028 because supposedly digital sales are higher than physical. Xbox hasn't confirmed going all digital, but bet that's coming soon. What must take place going forward? Gamers need protections against the licensing model that can and will erase your digital purchases at any moment. The licensing model has already proven to be problematic especially after over 550 movies were just erased without anyone being reimbursed. Without consumer laws and regulations to protect all purchases defined as ownership gamers will be renting regardless how much they have invested in their libraries while also knowing they can lose access to any game in their library at any moment.

The way Sony worded this is insane man, this sounds so evil in so many ways "This is a natural direction for Sony Interactive Entertainment to adapt to consumer trends as the general preference for digital media significantly outpaces physical discs. This transition will enable us to align more closely with how most of our community prefers to access and play games today."

A message to Sony and Playstation from me, a lifetime fan: PS1 was the first console I ever had for myself, and I have loved and played on every playstation console and handheld. Through my years, I have over 700 games across all ps platforms and over 300 platinum trophies. I buy and play games, because Playstation is my favorite place to play ä. Please Sony, all I ask for you is to care. To care about the fans like me who love physical media. It's the feeling of having physical discs that I can't describe. Putting into the PlayStation and playing it, no better feeling As a long time fan, all I ask is that you care. The goodwill I once had is getting smaller by the day and the company that was innovative, fun and made the games I love is not the same anymore. If you have any heart left, please show that you care. That's all fans like me ask you to do. Thank you for reading if you did, whoever you are. This came from my broken heart today. I don't have much energy to give, I feel sad.
