The project is open source, there was no premine or fundraise. Anyone can mine and it’s been very widely mined by a lot of miners since day one. The algo is open source.

If a coin has some parts that smell even borderline scammy it‘s probably a shitcoin. Take $RVN with their proprietary mining algo -> shitcoin. $GRIN is not a shitcoin.
