Independent journalists have done a great job of speaking truth about power, something that has been largely abandoned by legacy media. But this has also opened the doors for charlatans in the guise of journalists, pushing political party campaigns as 'news'. Their posts get a lot of traction because they are promoted by IT cells of various political parties, and end up flooding one's TL. Sometimes these crooks retweet my posts as well, which then get amplified by their respective IT cells. I have learnt to recognise the signs when this happens. I have therefore muted some of these politicians in journalists' clothing, so that their tainted posts don't appear on my feed.
