Awesome, bookmarks have broken DX
This site is just breaking down little by little and nothing can stop the degradation anymore because they're too focused on making up features to protect the feelings of an oversensitive billionaire.
Was talking to @Azizzlezazzle this weekend about a potentially fun writing exercise: You listen to a song, and then you have 10 mins to free-write inspired by it. Rinse and repeat until you have a bunch of outlines/snapshots/etc. Maybe they're bad, but it's about the practice.
I'm currently at around 13k right now, so almost 2/3 done! Unfortunately I have way too much to get done in the next week to spend much time writing soon, but I'm starting to actually feel hopeful that I might finish it someday, lol.
Checked my wordcount and did some math -- if the rest of the chapters of my JeanKim Romcom (working title JeanKom) are similar lengths to the two finished chapters, this story is going to be about 21k words. That'll be, by far the longest thing I'll have ever written.
@k0itsuki Just thought I'd mention--There is a character named "Borra" in the Maleficient: Mistress of Evil live action movie who is an angry, reckless general of the dark fae who favors war with humans. I wonder if Sebek's grandfather is based on that character.
It was really exciting, properly getting into writing. I was really enjoying the process, and I was so proud to have created (for me) so much in so little time, and to have written pieces I was really proud of.
Now I don't even want to think about my WIP folder :(
Someday I hope that my DE fic inspiration comes back. I'd really love to finish the story ideas I started in the fall. Various oneshots, a longer KimJean fic, and a third part to Unprofessional Therapy. I dunno why, I just completely lost the drive to actually work on them. :/

Question: if you were not raised Jewish (in any way shape or form), did you see Fiddler on the Roof at any point in your life? School productions count. I’m trying to see something here.
@Ryffnah I'm curious if there are some good furry portal fantasies out there--a human goes through a portal or what have you and ends up in a furry world. I'm sure they exist, I just haven't stumbled upon them yet
I still need to write about Secret Life of Animals, transformation, and macro fiction... and maybe other sub-genres I'm not thinking of right now...
But it's already been hard to find time to work on this, and I need to take care of some other things right now. So... later.
Let's talk about the squishy edges of the genre of furry fiction.
Why? Because a lot of people clearly have no idea what the genre is.
The first question I always get asked by people who've never heard of furry fiction before is, "What about lizards? Or fish?"
@Ryffnah@FurWritersGuild It's an interesting problem and I'm curious how things will go. I'd love it if furry lost that stigma and got widely accepted.
@Ryffnah@FurWritersGuild The "mainstream" furry stuff in fiction (Warriors, Redwall, Mouseheart, etc) gets called animal fantasy--the kids stuff, like I said. But call it furry and suddenly people get judgmental, or say it's not really furry because it's not for adults.
Okay, well, now that it's mostly sleepy time in twitter-land, maybe I'll actually write some of the furry story I'm working on, instead of just tweeting about how people should take furry fiction seriously. Maybe.
But you should still all take furry fiction seriously.
