The AFL are effectively dismissing the Aboriginal woman whose task they made impossible: To redress systemic racism in an industry that refuses truth-telling & the necessary structural change that threatens the white boys club.

Excellent question. As I see it, there has not been anywhere near enough change by a league and football industry that remains rife - & deeply complicit - with systemic racism.

April 1995 clearly upset Michael Long at the end of a media event with AFL CEO Ross Oakley after a mediation session with Damian Monkhorst who racially abused Long The controversy led to the anti vilification policy . Has any thing changed in the thirty years since ?

In Dec ‘23 I shared a @hrw post on Israel using starvation as a tool of war. ABC blamed it for my firing.
In March ‘24 ICJ warned of widespread famine ordering Israel to let food in.
In April ‘25 Israel still starves Gaza.
