It's with a very heavy heart that I share with you my Coach, mentor & friend Tim Wallace passed away peacefully in his sleep this morning after a 9-month battle with brain cancer. While his accomplishments were many and his mark on the game was legendary, the amount of lives he impacted was endless & I count myself blessed to have been one of them.

Bob Marcum was @GamecocksOnline AD from 1982-88 when I was a student worker in the #Gamecocks Athletics Department—prayers to Mr. Marcum and his family.

My friend, mentor and AD at Umass Bob Marcum has been admitted to the hospital for complications from a stroke. He was an unbelievable servant leader who impacted so many coaches, athletes and campuses where he worked. (Iowa st, Kansas, South Carolina, Umass, Marshall among them) Please pray for this committed husband, father, and loyal friend to many.

I always enjoyed visiting with Ron and Mary. Ron was so kind, thoughtful, and brilliant. And he took care of Sir Big Spur ( alongside Mary) to bring joy to so many Gamecocks.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Ronald Joseph Albertelli. Alongside his wife, Mary F. Snelling, Ronald developed the live mascot program for the University of South Carolina back in 1999. His engineering mind, intelligence, creativity, kindness, and showmanship allowed Sir Big Spur to become a fixture at USC sporting events. Ron was a great Gamecock, and he will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Eddie Dunning, who started working for the athletics department in 1983. Every year since 1984, he painted the Gamecock at midfield and was named teammate of the year in 2011. For 20 years, Eddie volunteered to deliver food to his Calhoun County community through Harvest Hope Food. In 2017, he received the WISTV/Mungo Homes Community Builder Award for his volunteer community service. He will be greatly missed.
