You can actually make a real playable game now with Seedance 2.0 + GPT Image 2. Not static AI videos anymore, but actual games where you can click, interact, talk to characters etc. No 3d modeling. no coding. no game engine. Imagine a game world where every pixel and frame is streamed through an AI model based on your actions. Me and @olivy2333 built a demo called Reelquest. (1/5)

@BenjaminDEKR Great question. It’s based on the current generation costs of GPT Image 2 and Seedance 2. There is still a cost, but it’s much cheaper than traditional game production.

@thomasmahler That’s so cool. Maybe he could use our new product to build a game — the demo is on my profile. Can’t wait to invite him.

Some people might not like this, but I'll share it anyway: My 8 year old son over the past couple of months has become more and more interested in game development. It all started with Mario Maker: Friends at his school were playing it, so he wanted to as well and now for months on end he's been making levels and every day I have to test his designs. Over the last few weeks, he came up with his own concept for a game: A First Person "Shooter" where you play a blue pig. Your 'weapon' is a pokeball-like device that you need to throw in order to then swap positions with the ball - so a bit like Portal, but with the challenge being that you'd have to throw the ball and make sure it lands properly like in Worms / Scorched Earth, etc. - and once the ball landed on that higher up platform that you normally can't reach, you press a button to teleport yourself there. I actually quite like that idea, I think that could be fun! I didn't like when he spent time on the iPad watching videos, so recently I gave him my old laptop so he could learn how a computer actually works. I tried to set it up for him in a simple and straight-forward way and he's having much more fun with that now. And since he had his game idea, I also showed him how AI works. Since then, he's been doing nothing but drawing concepts for his game and ask ChatGPT to make his concepts come to life.

@Fox1251104 This format can be amazing for interactive movies, games and shows. A new way of media overall. Options can expand on their own (cached) and the final media can have thousands of paths and endings.

@Fox1251104 This is very interesting. A full rethinking of the game architecture. I love it! The fact that you can train a model to be really good at this. One multimodal that’s a game engine. Spin up any game.

@Fox1251104 His isn’t generating uniquely per player interaction is it? Because that sounds unsustainably expensive.

@Fox1251104 very interesting, the only problem would be the video generation speed and the cost right?

Games feel a little boring now. So we built a playable AI Hogwarts-building game. Every click, every choice, every action changes what happens next — and the world is generated in real time. What kind of Hogwarts would you build? That’s completely up to you.

This feels like the moment AI moved from “content generation” to “world simulation.” Not just watching AI outputs anymore — actually interacting with them. If this scales, game development could shift from building assets manually to directing living worlds in real time. Wild direction for interactive media. 🚀

This is the first AI gaming demo I’ve seen that actually feels like a new medium instead of an automation tool. The crazy part isn’t “AI-made assets.” It’s the idea that the game world itself is generated moment-by-moment based on what the player does. That changes everything.
