@the_jefferymead Many Republicans in the Senate want to be in the minority because the pressure is off of them to do what their voters want (which IS NOT the same things the Senators want). They want big government as long as they are in it. They want big spending, which strengthens the grift.

@AriFleischer Trump illuminates ugly truths. The posture of Europe towards it alliance with the U.S., and NATO's inability to take military action absent the U.S., are ugly truths that should change how we perceive, and more importantly, how we deal with Europe. They are scolds, not allies.
