People laughed when I said this PSG team was better than treble winning Man City side.
These are the closest team I've seen to Pep's Barcelona team and I ain't afraid to admit that.
Special football team. Luis Campos is an absolute genius for putting this team together.

It has become clear that the right wing has a problem, and a very serious one.
There is someone I had in mind who could help us solve that problem, but that’s just my opinion, so don’t take it the wrong way. Also, it doesn’t mean that Savinho is not capable, but it’s obvious that we have a gap
I think Dembele could help us a lot.
I know it wouldn’t be easy to get him, but he is the best player on that position

@Komps4 Techy and physical dominant players,Nico O'Reilly good in both,Rodri too mostly in the middle we have this problem

They signed Doue, Barcola, Kvaratskelia etc... technically brilliant footballers...
We signed Omar Marmoush and Antoine Semenyo... absolute cloggers with very poor first touches.
I said last summer, use PSG as the blueprint. We need more techy footballers on Cherki's level.

Bradley Barcola shot map from the 22/23 Ligue 1 season with Lyon. He started just 15 games, scored 5 goals, and provided 8 assists. Played only 263 minutes in the 21/22 season with 1 assist; moved to PSG in the summer of 2023. Before Michael Olise moved to Bayern Munich, he only had one PL season where he scored more than 2 goals, which was 23/24 with 10. Desire Doue scored 3 goals for Rennes in 11 Ligue 1 starts during the 22/23 season, and 4 goals in the 23/24 season with 17 starts. Leroy Sane had 23 Bundesliga starts in 15/16 and scored 8 goals. Before that, he played 610 minutes during the 14/15 season and scored 3 goals. Moving to Manchester City in the summer of 2016. To sign the best young attackers, you have to take some risk and go early, or they'll become unavailable as another top club will make the move.

@BluM00N07 Doku when he arrived he looked like a player for just few minutes,now he is more influential than any other player in our attack consisting of Erling and Cherki is why I refuse to lose hope on Savinho

@RazMah19 Yeah there isn't an outstanding RW option this summer so I think you look at Barcola is one that can play on both sides. Doku isn't going to be able to play 50 games across season from a fitness perspective & right now there's just too much of a drop off when he's not available

@BluM00N07 But Semenyo was supposed to add those numbers on that side to ease that high expectations on Savinho scoring,he definitely gets into good position Savinho is not a question of talent it's a question of making that conviction and shooting well

@srinisadhanand The most technical players we have most are being eaten alive in duels and physicality and some so out of form ,savinho on that right side technical he is top ,phil in the team raises that technical side,Rico would too ,stones too that's where the problem kicks in

The worst part of City's recruitment in the last few years is they're not prioritising elite technical ability.
Phillips, Nunes (great in 25/26 but still), Marmoush, Donnarumma, Semenyo for eg just aren't at the technical level.
That's what fundamentally set prime City apart.

@AkshitOnX @rodriiola Statistically wise u can name Many ,even Semenyo numbers wise is so much ahead of savinho but we both watching City and you see apart from his poor finishing and shooting we are better team and more dangerous on that side with Savinho

I think the reason I keep on having faith in Savinho is bc he has everything except him freezing infront of goal. I think it’s more of a mental thing than a skill issue. I don’t think it’s hard to work on that. Everything he does before he has to shoot is done well. There’s a reason Pep feels comfortable putting him on to see out games.
