Cannot believe it’s less than a week until my first concert with @ReadingBach! They’ve worked hard on this program, and I am excited to share the music of Reena Esmail, @musicmanchoi, and @caroshawmusic with everyone alongside Bach, Purcell, and Tomkins.

"The Heart Starts Singing" draws upon the choir's rich tradition of juxtaposing old and new, bringing together works from Bach himself and the Welsh composer Thomas Tomkins to the UK premiere of Los Angeles-based Filipino composer Saunder Choi's "Can You Hear Me?"
