@ReadingListApp love the app! Have the paid permanent version. I wanted to ask - do you think in the future we could get a rating system for the books we’ve read? Maybe up to 5 stars, in half-star increments?

You can now filter the Finished list — perfect for showing just the books finished this year, for example

@DadFitSpartan @ElyWriting Yeah, absolutely. I hope to have shareable exports in the app fairly soon 👍😊 You can export (all books) to a CSV spreadsheet in the meantime, but it’s not a pretty export!

@ReadingListApp my current books widget no longer sorts by progression, only by start date. Is there any way to fix this please?

I found a solution to this issue — a minor app update is out now that restores barcode scanning for these devices. And it seems that iPadOS 17.5 (not out yet) will fix the underlying issue too.

Thanks to those who’ve reported an issue with scanning barcodes on iPads. This is a known issue with iPadOS 17.4 on certain iPad models — I expect Apple to release a fix, but I’m looking into workarounds in the meantime. Sorry for the inconvenience!

@grahamatar Hey there — the app tries to download a thumbnail image of the cover, instead of the full-res one, to save on storage space. But it could be that the thumbnail that it has downloaded here (or is downloading in general) is even smaller than it should be. I’ll look into this 👍

@ForgottenLore89 Ah yes, this is a situation for which there isn’t a great solution. Depending on what you wanted to do, exporting to a CSV and manipulating it before reimporting could be useful to you. I’ll keep a web interface in mind though and see if I ever get around to that!

@ForgottenLore89 I’m afraid I don’t have plans to develop a web interface for the iCloud data. If you have a (Apple silicon) Mac then you can use the app on your computer…
