Life Balance - I am using this Lenten season to rebalance my focus on faith, family and politics. The last few months have been politically all consuming and overwhelming. As conservatives celebrate progress towards healing our constitutional republic, there is still much negativity that can affect our souls. As a Catholic, I cannot forsake my spiritual development through prayer, study and worship for the sake of political gratification. I want to strive to be kind to those with whom I disagree. I need to be mindful of my words. We live in a broken world and we need to show grace to others. Today's political and cultural climate offers daily growth opportunities in this regard.

Congress has the Article I power to declare--not make--war. The President, as the commander-in-chief, has the Article II power--and duty--to protect Americans from attacks. Congress has not declared war since World War II. Declarations of war have serious legal consequences for Americans' civil liberties. No President--Democrat or Republican--has followed the War Powers Act of 1973, which they all have uniformly declared unconstitutional. This included President Obama, when he attacked Libya and overthrew Gadhafi. For 47 years, Iran has waged war on America, killing thousands of Americans. Recently, Iran's supreme leader threatened to sink American ships--and worse. President Trump has the power and duty to protect us, under Article II and prior congressional authorizations for use of military force to combat terrorism.

It’s an income means test based on their MAGI, not a wealth means test. For couples, the means test phase out starts at $150,000. Capital income (from wealth) is already taxed at a more advantageous rate than ordinary income. Do not conflate wealth with income means testing. Seniors do not need, and should not receive, these asymmetric tax breaks over working families, who are seeing record high asset price inflation, which is blunting their ability for asset formation compared to older generations.

All of this Boomer Bashing should encourage Boomers to create trusts to control asset dispersion after their deaths. Their heirs seem to be salivating over their assets. Most inheritances are gone within years. Trusts prevent this. Greedy heirs need to learn self-sufficiency.

For the past year, Donald Trump and JD Vance have been screwing over Pennsylvanians — gutting health care, driving up costs, and making it harder for our farmers and small businesses to compete. While the Trump Administration has abandoned the very people they were elected to serve, we'll always have your back.

Most single people had roommates in real life and on television...the sitcoms showed the struggles of young adults in the 70s, 80s, 90s...these young adults need to suck it up...their whining just shows that helping them now would just hurt them in the long run.

Here’s something I wish more people understood about their health: Taking medication to treat a medical condition is not a moral failure. Somewhere along the way, we decided that needing medication means you “didn’t try hard enough.” That you should suffer through lifestyle changes indefinitely before you’re allowed to get help. That belief is not only wrong, it’s harmful. Even in a so called perfect world with unlimited time, money, and access, people would still get sick. Biology doesn’t wait for perfect circumstances. Disease doesn’t pause while you optimize your morning routine. Medications are not the easy way out. They are tools, tools that help manage disease now, while you build healthier habits within the very real constraints of your life. Waiting for the “right time” can mean letting conditions worsen unnecessarily. This isn’t lifestyle vs. medication. It’s lifestyle and medication. And shaming people for using evidence-based treatment helps no one, except disease.

@acnewsitics As a woman, I am extremely grateful for this right as it did not come easily. As a human, I am grateful since monarchies used to rule the world. Requiring I.D. does not prevent someone from voting. I have the right to one, full vote...not diluted by fraudulent ones.

@acnewsitics They are NOT SUPPOSED to vote. Some states make it easy for them to do it. If I need to be I.D'd to buy Sudafed, then I want everyone to show I.D. to register to vote and to actually vote. Proving citizenship isn't cumbersome in this day and age. I don't want my vote deluded.

Fun fact: non-citizens already can’t vote in federal elections. This bill solves a problem that doesn’t exist and creates new ones on purpose. America already has one of the most secure election systems in the world. Even Trump’s own DOJ admitted that.

@hisgaldeb @SamaHoole Unreasonably hostile and presumptuous. My frustration is over the fact that everything seems to have additives. I like my salt to just have salt. I also do not think people should be relying on iodized salt to fulfill their iodine needs. The RDA only considers goiter prevention.
