What community events are you taking part in this summer? I'm very excited to take part in the Westlock Community Garden this year! We have a women's group that was running through the winter at Timmies and have now moved it for the summer to growing some produce!

At one time, the farmer filled that bin and that was the crop to feed the family and pay the bills. Now the cart holds more on the drill than the bin.

@kowalchukfarms1 I appreciate the agronomists who say, "it depends" to a lot of my questions, you're right, every farm is different. Even within the same region there is a ton of variability. Throw cropping history into the mix and you're really off!

Some areas in Canada need heat and no more moisture Other areas need rain and are really getting dry Just goes to show how diverse our growing regions are and why management practices are also so diverse That’s not even taking into account soil types…
