Even with the number of delays and 11 pm games I have sat through over the years, I still am not in favor of moving the tournament to a soulless dome that would require 90% of fans in the SEC footprint to drop $300+ on a plane ticket just to get there

Honestly I agree.
Much as I would’ve loved for Nashville to win this bid a few years ago, I feel confident that it would get ✨capitalism-ed✨and ruin the vibe.
Hoover does it well. Don’t screw it up.

I get sick and tired of the people who never go to Hoover that want the tournament moved to a big league ball park. Hoover is PERFECT for the SEC baseball tourney.

@aria_gerson HR call was after 2 ump consultations, not 1. This was changed by Birmingham.There is an outfield camera between CF and RF, you can see both players but no ball bounced between them. Everyone down the right field line along with the Vandy bullpen say it was HR.We all saw it fly🤬

One thing worth noting is that if the call was officially replay reviewed, it cannot be appealed, changed or protested. But it's not clear if it was actually replay reviewed or if they just called the SEC office for a rules check

Assuming the trackman data is correct, it’s physically impossible that the ball could have skipped over for a ground rule double. Meaning if it ended up over the fence (it did), it’s a home run. Vanderbilt will almost certainly appeal the call before tomorrow.
