Chris Foca @ThisGuyFoca with one heck of a Claw season. Foca just took out Nate Jackson and had a first round pin over Mike Macchiavello a couple weeks ago! Career 102-19 2x AA (NQ-3-R12-5) EIWA & IVY conference champ His NCAA tournament hit list -Mekhi Lewis 3-2 TB-1 -Dustin Plott by Fall 1:54 -Nelson Brands 7-2 decision -Jaxon Smith 7-4 decision -Gabe Arnold 12-1 major -D. Washington tech fall 4:32 -Jaden Bullock 11-3 major -Jacob Nolan by fall 5:17 -Aaron Ayzerov tech fall 1:43 -Malachi Duvall tech fall -Cade DeVos 8-2 decision -Cael Valencia Fall 2:22 -Ross McFarland 5-3 decision -Aiden Brenot 2-0 decision Chris Foca gave Cornell fans “Foca-style” — explosive, unpredictable, and always entertaining. His career line (NQ–3–R12–5) doesn’t tell the full story: Freshman: A major concussion derailed a season where he was 20–3 and looked like the clear #3 in the country. Two losses came within 12 hours — TB to Mekhi and a 1-point match with Starocci where Foca scored the only takedown. Sophomore: Absolute breakout. 30–2, with only losses to Mekhi (avenged at NCAAs) and Starocci in the semis. With correct bracketing, he likely makes the NCAA finals. Junior: Planned for 174, forced up to 184. Spent the year adjusting. Upset 1st round at NCAAs despite leading 4–0 in the third; then ripped off three bonus wins, including a 100-second tech over Ayzerov, before falling in the blood round. Senior: Missed first semester due to Ivy rules. Only regular-season loss was to Jaxon Smith (avenged at NCAAs). Fell to McEnelly 10–7 in a thriller and Plott 2–1 in the consi semis. Now he’s training with Tar Heel WC under Rob Koll and competing internationally for the Dominican Republic. One of the most unique, must-watch styles in college wrestling.
