New #Eagles RB Dameon Pierce has only played in 16 games over the last 2 years after a strong start to his career as a rookie (939 yards, 4 TDs). Downhill runner that had injuries slow him down in 2023 and 2024. Only 54 carries over last 2 years. We'll see if he still has some juice left.

#NDSU QB Cole Payton has his Pro Day today. One thing I hope he continues to work on as he makes the NFL jump is climbing the pocket when pressure starts to surround him. Obviously has excellent athleticism and improvisation skills but flashed some pocket feel too. Already has nice deep ball touch and his a dyanmic weapon as a runner. Plenty to work with as a passer too.

#Eagles director of college scouting Ryan Myers was at Stanford's Pro Day today, likely watching TE Sam Roush and DB Collin Wright working out today. Wright and Roush were both at the Senior Bowl. Great stuff here from Johnny in this thread. #Eagles bringing in Vega Ioane, EDGE Dani Dennis-Sutton, and OT Drew Shelton for 30 visits. Shelton won’t count against the number because he’s a local player (Downingtown West), but predraft visits are rolling in now.

@PhillyPhillyTP Depends on if you include Francis Mauigoa and Spencer Fano in that count, but after Ioane I have Chase Bisontis, Keylan Rutledge, Billy Schrauth, and Emmanuel Pregnon in the next bucket in the Round 2/3 range. I think Ioane is the only true IOL I'd take in Round 1.

#Eagles couldn't go into the season without a veteran backup in case they end up dealing Tanner McKee and after losing Sam Howell in free agency. I'd still expect them to either draft a QB or bring in some UDFA/free agents for training camp arms.

The #Eagles will host #PennState star offensive lineman Vega Ioane on a pre-draft visit, he said at pro day. Ioane is considered the top IOL in the class and a projected mid first-rounder. Might not make it to the Eagles at #23. But worth bringing in. pennlive.com/philadelphiaea…

#NDSU QB Cole Payton is a fascinating study, because he has one year of full starting tape, but his athleticism and running ability has been a weapon in their offense for the past 3 years, including 2023 (shown below) when he had a team-high 13 TDs and 3 games over 100 or more yards (as a backup!) He's became a much improved passer than earlier in his career, but any team drafting him should leverage his running ability.

Easy to see #NDSU WR Bryce Lance finding a role an NFL offense with his natural speed and vertical threat ability. Tracks the ball well , toughness to make contested catches. Needs to be more physical against DBs that jam/re-route him and lets the ball get into his body in tight coverage then can lead to PBUs, but hard not to imagine he gets picked before the end of Day 2.

Love how physical and the displacement in the run game that #Illinois OT JC Davis creates. Really works in tandem on double team blocks, heavy handed, nice leg drive. Can get caught leaning into blocks, has wide hands, probably a depth/backup, but think he has swing tackle potential.

#Michigan EDGE Derrick Moore just wants to go right through OTs chest to get to the QB and it's been a super effective strategy for him. Uses his length (33⅜ inches) to get under their pads and drives them back. Also has enough juice to win inside and on outside shoulder too. Day 2 player who needs to become a more consistent run defender.
