We were just talking about this at dinner.
We borrow money from China to give to other countries in the form of national defense and foreign aid. Meanwhile, those countries spend their money on social programs and 'free' health care and child care...not on national defense...while we go deeper in debt!
And now these countries are acting like they want to stay above the fray...not only not helping, but actively hindering US efforts to make the world a safer place. And we're stupid enough to keep protecting them!
Let them protect themselves! Russia doesn't want them...Russia already has more Muslim problems than they can handle. They don't need western European countries who are on their way to Islamification!

🇮🇹 Italy refuses landing rights for U.S. bombers. Some planes reportedly turned back mid-route.
🇪🇸 Spain shuts its airspace and locks both bases. Doors closed.

Phase two: permanent end to the war. Mediators say fully reopening Hormuz and resolving the uranium question can only happen in the final deal, not upfront. Iran won't surrender its two biggest bargaining chips for a temporary pause. The core problem: Iran doesn't trust this won't be another Gaza. A ceasefire on paper that Israel ignores whenever it wants. Tehran wants guarantees the bombing actually stops and doesn't restart in 45 days. It is a subset of what the US provides EU for defense because today the EU struggles to provide these things for themselves. The US is being an ally. They even provide the EU with the basics like GPS. All for deterrence.

Focus will be western hemisphere; which has been the plan long before Trump. NATO is important but has less value if US cannot use its bases when needed.

Beyond NATO budget the US provides EU with advanced tech, front forces, logistics, satellites, GPS, intel, survallience, nukes, command and control, ballistic middle defense, etc. It’s what makes NATO defense credible.
